Eat a chocolate horse, ride a cowboy. This Chocolate Horse Cupcake Topper is super easy to make and will have your guess galloping to get more. It is the perfect cupcake topper to pair with the delicious Reese’s Peanut Butter cupcake with peanut butter frosting in Man Candy and Cupcakes. Wild brumbies will not keep your guests coming back for seconds.
What you need:
I did a quick sketch of a horse that we used. It’s a bit scrappy but does the job (I never said I was Michelangelo). You may be able to find other horse sketches online. Simply resize the image on a copier to get them to the right size.
- Outline of a horse (supplied below)
- Parchment paper
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- Pencil
- Ziploc bag
- Scissors
- Icing spatula
Directions:
- Place parchment paper on horse outline and trace it using a pencil. Melt chocolate in a microwave safe dish in 30 second increments until completely melted.
- Allow chocolate to cool slightly and put it into a Ziploc bag. Snip off the tip of the bag. Pipe the chocolate on top of the traced lines and fill in the horse with chocolate. Allow the chocolate to harden in either the refrigerator or the freezer.
- Once the chocolate horse has hardened remove very carefully from the parchment with an icing spatula. Place garnish on top of cupcake and giddy up.
