This cow skull cupcake topper is a cinch to make and it’s the perfect accessory for the Rope Those Calves cupcake, a Hazelnut cupcake laced with Espresso Frangelico buttercream in Man Candy and Cupcakes. It will get you in the mood to lasso your favorite cowboy.
What you need:
- Cow Skull Mold
- White fondant
- Brown Fondant
- White sugar
- Paint brush
- Firstly, you will need a food grade silicon cow skull mold. It’s easy to find these online. I got mine from Etsy.
- Roll a small ball of white fondant and place into the cow skull mold. Roll two very small pieces of brown fondant into balls and place in the horn section of the molds. Put the mold into the refrigerator to harden for at least 20 minutes.
- Remove fondant from mold. You may need to trim excess fondant using a small knife. Then, using a paintbrush lightly paint a small amount of water onto the cow skull and dust lightly with white sugar.
