This lucky in love horseshoe cupcake topper pairs perfectly with my delicious cowboy inspired Bread Pudding Cupcake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting and Whisky-Soaked Raisins in my new book Man Candy and Cupcakes. Serve up this winsome combination to your favorite cowboy and you are bound to get lucky!
- White fondant
- Fondant tool or small knife
- A little whiskey
- Small paint brush
- Bronze edible dust
- End of a pastry tip
- Roll out the white fondant to 1/8 inch thickness. Using your knife or fondant tool, cut out a horseshoe shape.
- Mix the edible bronze dust with a touch of whiskey or some other high percentage alcohol (pour yourself a snifter while you are at it). Paint the horseshoe with this drunken dust. Place on parchment paper and allow to dry in the refrigerator.
- Once dry, use the end of the pastry tip to make 8-13 marks on the horseshoe to represent the “nails”. Place on top of your cupcake.
