Seven Steps to Seduction on Valentine’s Day

Babe Scott Valentines Day

So, you’ve decided to invite your honey over for a homey Valentine’s night celebration. Now the panic sets in. You don’t know your aphrodisiacal menu items from your oatmeal, let alone what music to play or even what to wear. It’s a symbolic night and it’s important to get it right. Have no fear: I have your party-for-two plan perfected. If he has a pulse, then he will be putty in your arms. You can thank me later.

Cupid-Inspired Cupcakes: Let’s start with the menu. Forget three courses: let your love stud know you are only serving a sexy dessert. The easiest and most alluring option is cupcakes. They are love in a wrapper You can make them in the morning to give yourself more time to primp and preen in the evening. Check out my blog for some infallible cupcake and cocktail combinations. My favourite choice for Valentine’s Day is my super seductive Chocolate Martini-spiked Valentine’s Vamp Cupcake with Femme Fatale Frosting. Garnish with sprinkles, a fondant heart or even an an edible masquerade mask.

Seductive Signature Cocktail: Pair your seductive cupcake with a matching cocktail for a double-pronged assault on his taste buds. Combine the Valentine’s Vamp cupcake with a Chocolate Martini. Another delicious option is my risque Red Velvet Cupcake with a Red Velvet Martini. The marriage of mouthwatering cupcakes and martinis is one that was made in romance heaven. Garnish your cocktail with a strawberry or rim the glass with sprinkles for an added touch. Check out babescott.com for these risqué recipes.

Romantic Playlist: Make sure you have a romantic playlist to put you both in a tender mood. This should be playing as he comes in the door to instantly melt his heart. I recommend compiling a selection of classic love songs from crooners like Frank Sinatra, Billie Holliday and the immortal Amy Winehouse. To make it easy, I’ve put together a pout-worthy Valentines Day Playlist on the book page of my website that includes some of the most romantic songs of all time.

Spruce up Your Space: Lighting is key to creating a romantic mood. Nothing flatters the complexion more than a dim room. Turn off overhead lights and use lamps wherever possible. You want to create the feel of an old Hollywood noir film. Scatter little tea lights in votive candleholders around your abode and get some candles for the table. Red roses are also mandatory, even if it’s just two in a small vase in the middle of the table. And make sure there are no reminders of any other lovers—past or present—lying around.

Romantic Movies: Rent some romantic movies or have them ready to go in your Netflix so you can canoodle on the couch later on. Again, I’d go with the classics like From Here to Eternity, Casablanca or Gone with the Wind. Valentine’s Day is one of the few times you can get a guy to watch a love-churning tale without tying him down. He may not admit it, but these love stories will really tug at his heartstrings.

Dress like a Vixen: It’s imperative that you make an effort to dress like a siren. You don’t want your cupcakes to be cuter than you. A classic little black dress is the perfect go-to for Valentine’s Day. It has the same timeless elegance as red roses and other romantic emblems. Team it with a push-up bra, high heels, nice hosiery and a simple necklace and earrings. Spend time making yourself look glamorous. Fix your hair and put on some retina-rupturing red lipsticks and nail polish. A spritz or two of rose-scented perfume will complete your charm arsenal.

Sleepover Supplies: Prepare yourself for a sexy sleepover. You don’t want to go to all the effort only to climb into bed looking like a bag lady. Have a nice negligee and some sexy knickers on hand for the boudoir. It’s also a good idea to have a spare toothbrush and a towel for your guy. Make sure you have some Bailey’s for spiking your coffee the next morning and the ingredients to put together an easy breakfast like bacon and eggs or French toast. The best way to keep a guy around is to water and feed him.

This foolproof seven-step flirtation plan along with my infallible cupcakes and cocktails will ensure you have a romantic and memorable Valentine’s evening.
